Sorry about the lack of recent postings but things have been busy at the studio and beyond! I showed the book around Boston and CT in May along with continuing to shoot new images for the book and shoot assignment work.
Then in June I went to New York City for a week to attend the NYC Fotoworks portfolio review. I had the opportunity to show my book to 24 Art Buyers, Photo Editors and Reps. It was a great introduction for me to the city and the people I met were great, warm, welcoming and very enthusiastic about my portfolio. In fact everyone was so positive that I am planning my return to NYC in September. Debbie is busy setting up appointments as I write this post.
Between now and then I continue to create new images, which is such rewarding work. I recently have had many requests to see liquor bottles shot in my style and with my vision. So I finally took a break from the craziness and started to play. I came away with 2 new images that I can’t wait to share and am working on a few more fun ideas.
If you are a photographer or someone who works with photographers and you want to check out the NYC Fotoworks events here is a link. http://nycfotoworks.com/ As I said, for me it was a great way to get an intro to NYC and the reviewers gave me great feedback.
