Life at the studio
Right time, right people, right place
Right Time, Right People, Right Place. There are times in your life when everything aligns. The right people at just the right time. This winter has been one of those times for our studio. One of our clients has kept us on our toes shooting a multitude of fresh, trendy products with some really cool designs! We are grateful for the new friendships, collaborations, and the opportunity to work hard to keep our clients Read More
Grateful for Work 2014
Debbie and I talk frequently these days about how grateful we are for all the work that has been coming our way. As we mentioned in a previous post, August to December 2013 were some of the busiest months we have had in years. We had a much needed break in January and then things began to pick up once again. And this week we find ourselves in our 7th week of being booked at least 4 days out of 5. While this often means Read More
Three days of Food Packaging Photography
We have just wrapped up a great 3 day food packaging project. I put the finishing touches on the images this morning and sent them off. I also photographed the products in their frozen state for the art director to use in layouts. First thing this morning we got an email from the client saying, "This was a challenging shoot but I was pleased to see the sustained energy and willingness to keep pushing forward with Read More
Set Building
Last week I was busy doing some minor set building. We have been prepping to shoot some test shots with some new food stylists. We are going to be creating some beautiful new editorial food images to compliment our portfolio and our food packaging shots. We have a large quantity of props but not as many surfaces as we would like so it was time to use those artistic muscles in a slightly different way than when I look Read More

Here are a few photos that Debbie Read More
November 2012 Update

We lost power and Internet for about 36 hours but no other damage was done to us or our property. Our hearts go out to all who were so terribly affected by the storm and are still trying to recover and rebuild. I had many portfolio Read More
Studio Companion – Benny
We have had many long shooting days in the studio over the past year. Between assignment work and building the images for the portfolio there have been very few days where I am just doing the catch-up paperwork in the office. Luckily I always have some company in the studio with me. Benny, our Portuguese Water Dog loves to visit. The studio is cool in the hot summer months and Benny loves to keep cool. Our clients love Read More
